Highlighter
In recent years, the new pen used for marking has used thicker and lighter ink to cover key parts to make marks. After marking, it does not obscure the text at a glance.
The principle of the highlighter:
The principle of its key UV fluorescent ink is to add a visible fluorescent complex with UV excitation to the ink. Through the absorbed light energy, the energy level transition of the atom is generated, and then the additional energy absorbed is released. The anti-counterfeiting feature is to emit red, yellow, green, and blue (400 nm to 800 nm) visible light under ultraviolet light (200 nm to 400 nm). The ink is colored and colorless, and has long wave (365nm) and short wave (254nm). The fluorescent pigment is an organic complex, finely ground, and has high luminosity, usually colorless or light white, in ultraviolet light. Under the irradiation of (200 nm to 400 nm), visible light of various colors (400 nm to 800 nm) is exhibited. According to the wavelength of the excitation light source, it can be divided into short-wave ultraviolet excitation phosphor (excitation wavelength is 254nm) and long-wave ultraviolet excitation pigment (excitation wavelength is 365nm).
Highlighter features
Fluorescent pens have a fluorescent agent that produces a fluorescent effect when exposed to ultraviolet light (sunlight, fluorescent, and mercury lamps), emitting white light, which makes the color look fluorescent.
There are also colorless highlighters that can be hidden. After writing, there is no color. After the purple light behind the pen is illuminated, the written content can be displayed.
Highlighters are divided into two types: water-based and oil-based:
Water-based pens are similar to colored pens and are non-toxic, but not easy to dry. And the coverage is not good, the surface of some items can't be written, and the two colors will look dirty when stacked.
The oily pen is a synthetic solvent that dissolves in alcohol. It is easy to write and easy to dry. It has good coverage and is cheaper.
Highlight identification
Highlighters are often used for painting and marking. When selecting, you can stack two translucent report papers or type papers together, write a few words on the top piece of paper with a highlighter, pay attention to the light and heavy, then turn over and check, the good quality highlighter is on the top There should be no color penetration on the back of the paper, and there should be no handwriting on the next piece of paper.
